Η Καρλίνα ζει σε έναν όμορφο πλανήτη τον Ορφέα ο οποίος βρίσκεται μακριά από τον δικό μας γαλαξία. Έχει μια πολύ όμορφη ζωή και είναι ευτυχισμένη, αλλά όταν ένας κομήτης καταστρέφει τον πλανήτη της και χάνει την οικογένεια της η ίδια και όσοι επιβίωσαν από την καταστροφή, περιπλανιούνται στο διάστημα μέχρι να βρουν ένα βιώσιμο πλανήτη. Τελικά η Γη φαίνεται να είναι η μόνη τους ελπίδα. Αλλά μόλις φτάσουν, οι άνθρωποι δεν τους υποδέχονται με ανοιχτές αγκάλες. Είναι ξένοι, είναι εισβολείς, είναι εξωγήινοι και πρέπει να φύγουν. Η Καρλίνα με την βοήθεια του φίλου της Kάρπιαν προσπαθεί να περάσει τα εμπόδια. Όμως όταν γνωρίσει έναν γήινο τον Τζάσπερ τότε θα αρχίσει να πιστεύει ότι υπάρχει η πιθανότητα Ορφιανοί και Γήινοι να ζήσουν μαζί ειρηνικά. Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway.
