Midoriya held one memory of his biological father. It was not pleasant. I mean how would you feel if it was a hand pressed one your forehead with a dark smile as your body is in an unimaginable pain? So Midoriya simply placed it to the darkest corner of his mind. Thus creating a new memory. Where Izuku would attempt just to picture his father's face to only see All Might. Years later, Izuku Midoriya finally learns the truth after one vision from One For All and an ancient power within him finally awakening.

Izuku Midoriya never actually intended on becoming a vigilante, it just sort of happened. He stayed out late to avoid his mother at night, and got to know pro hero Eraserhead as a result.
