Sabrina Reed is Nathan Alden's wife, but not by his choice... EXCERPT****** "I found her like this, sir," the guard announced. Sabrina stirred at the voice, blinking groggily and rubbing her eyes to chase away the blur clouding her vision. A towering figure stepped into focus. "What are you doing out here, Sabrina?" Nathan's voice was sharp, cutting through the fog of sleep. His jaw was tight, words pressed between clenched teeth. She blinked again, brushing hair from her face as she sat up. "What are you doing out here?" he repeated-louder this time, more demanding. He stood before her in a jet-black suit and white button-up shirt, sleeves rolled just enough to expose forearms clenched across his chest. His eyebrows were drawn tight, his eyes narrowed. "I came back late last night and... the guard was gone, so... I just fell asleep," she said softly, eyes lowering under the weight of his glare. He dismissed the guard with a silent nod, then stepped closer. "Where were you last night?" he asked, voice taut with suspicion. She yawned, trying to blink herself fully awake. "I've been volunteering at the animal shelter." "Get up," he ordered, tone clipped and harsh. "You expect me to believe that? Don't animal shelters close at a decent time?" She remained seated, her legs too stiff to move. "Yes, but-" "Get up!" he barked.

Seventeen year-old spirit medium Emily Chambers has a problem. Actually, she has several. As if seeing dead people isn't a big enough social disadvantage, she also has to contend with an escaped demon and a handsome ghost with a secret past. And then there's the question of her parentage. Being born an entire year after her father's death (yes, a year) and without the pale skin of other respectable English ladies, Emily is as much a mystery as the dead boy assigned to her. Jacob Beaufort's spirit has been unable to crossover since his death several months ago. It might have something to do with the fact he was murdered. Or it might not. All he knows is, he has been assigned by the Otherworld's administrators to a girl named Emily. A girl who can see and touch him. A girl who released a shape-shifting demon into the mortal realm. Together they must send the demon back before it wreaks havoc on London. It should be a simple assignment, but they soon learn there's nothing simple when a live girl and a dead boy fall in love. THE MEDIUM is the first book in the Emily Chambers Spirit Medium trilogy. Yes, that's *trilogy* - meaning not everything will be wrapped up nicely at the end of The Medium. There are 2 more books after it, both of which are published. Check out my website for details.

Big Time was originally the back-story of Mr Big from the TV series Sex and the City. It followed 10 years of Big's life from a carefree thirty-year-old banker to a married man, through his subsequent divorce, before he met Carrie in the first episode of the show. The story – from the man’s perspective – gave depth to a character many viewers of the television series were attracted to yet thought of as self-centered or even narcissistic. The intent in writing this story was for the reader to get to know and understand the man who was reluctant – or even unable – to commit to Carrie in the series. As the rights to Mr Big have not been acquired, the story has been subtly and appropriately changed so that it does not impinge on third party legal rights. Big Time is therefore a story about a man in his 30's, making his way up the corporate ladder whilst also making relationship mistakes and often trying to understand the opposite sex (as most men do). Note from the author: "I tried tenaciously to contact Candace Bushnell's agents and HBO to try to publish this as an official Sex and the City product, but I have not been able get a response. Who knows, maybe with enough support, we could convince them together that this story is deserving of publishing with their moniker attached or maybe even worthy of the big screen." Content Warning The story you are about to read is intended for mature readers due to its sexual content and language. It may not be appropriate for all audiences. Please read at your own discretion.
