The majority of the characters belong to AMC's The Walking Dead. This was based and inspired by The Walking Dead TV show. The story is set in Season 3, after Hershel's farm is overrun (So if you haven't got that far please do not read to avoid spoilers about who's alive or not). After that, the story swerves off in a different direction and the rest of the events belong to me. Alone in an apocalypse, Yasmine has to survive, at least she'd found the most friendly mode of transport, her horse Starstruck. How will she live through rabid zombie monsters? To different people they are named different things: geeks, biters, creepers, walkers or just 'The Infected'. They are brain dead and they want meat, check it out :) **This story was written by me, an Aussie girl and is set in America so if I get something wrong about the schools, politics or places or whatever, be kind coz I don't know what I'm talking about :) I will also be using Australian spelling*

Everything's food for something else. Humanity has been on top of the food chain for their entire existence. When a disease unlike any other seen before could potentially wipe out the whole human race, the world's top scientists are all sent too Atlanta to discover a way to extinguish the flame before it starts a forest fire. England's top zoologist (sent to observe the behaviour of the infected) is only in the air for twelve hours. But a lot can happen in a short space of time. Whilst Electra is in the comfort of her aeroplane seat up above, all hell breaks loose down below as the disease becomes an epidemic spreading like wild fire. On arriving in Columbus she comes face to face which what seems to be the apocalypse. The dead are walking, but will the living be walking for long?

The Mayans were right.....almost. On the 23rd of December 2012, the Earth witnessed beautiful harmless meteor showers all round the planet. Beginning on the 25th of December, the world did end for the humans. The earth did not implode, the stars did not come crashing down, no giant tsunamis hit the coastlines nor did the seas and oceans have raging fires. But one prediction for the Apocalypse did come true. The dead had risen. Not for judgment by the Lord, that may not have been as scary. Very hungry and with uncommon pack intelligence they were a different breed of the undead from those seen in Hollywood. Initially only the recently dead awoke, then everyone who died on or after that day came back alive. The problem: majority of the world had died; the line for the recently resurrected was endless. But as always, humanity endures. Survival has always been something the human race has been good at. This time it will be the survival of the fittest. (Cover : Cataclysm)
