"Money is like love; it kills slowly and painfully the one who withholds it, and enlivens the other who turns it on his fellow human." - Kahlil Gibran.
As an aspiring writer and amateur journalist, (Y/n) Francois gropes for a compelling story just at the apex of the Jazz Age. Attempting to catch her break as an amateur journalist, she heads over to New York City, where she is reunited with an old friend of her brother's, Nick Carraway. Nick valiantly offers to let her stay with him while she searches for her next big break and she accepts.
Little does she know that Nick - an old flame - still has feelings for her and tries tirelessly to impress her, even asking her to accompany him to Gatsby's celebration, where she meets the enigmatic man himself.
Instantly, she feels a pull towards Gatsby that she cannot explain - something chemical - but will this attraction prove fatal if Gatsby cannot forget about his own beau, Daisy Buchanan?
