It's debatable, but having an *actual* spirit animal is not shaping up so great for Draco. The more he tries to embark on a self-improvement journey, the more his inner ferret seems to call the shots. And it just can't seem to stay away from Hermione Granger.

Third book to Severus and Hermione. Hermione's cursed state is starting to worsen. Muggles are starting to die around her in the village not to far from the Burrow. She thinks that her friends could be in danger from Scarlett, but she doesn't know how to control it. Her friends don't know about Scarlett, only Severus did, but now he's gone. He left her to suffer through this alone and she scares that she'll kill someone else and Scarlett has her eyes set on little Ginny Weasley. Severus Snape is broken once again. He left Hermione last year for her own good, to keep her from going dark, but that doesn't stop the aching pain in his heart. He wants Hermione back, but he has to fight the impulses of his heart. He watches as Hermione recoils into herself more, which worries him more. He turns to Minerva for help, telling her to keep a watchful eye on Hermione. The killings are presumed to be the work of the escaped prisoner, Sirius Black, and Hermione wonders if she should run off with him in order to protect her friends. What will she do? Will she run off with the prisoner of Azkaban? Or stay broken hearted forever over Severus?

Hermione Granger and her friends is going back to Hogwarts. All was well for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is dead, He is defeated. She wishes nothing but a normal year but it's Hogwarts nothing is normal! Draco Malfoy is regretful and hated. He regrets his mistakes but it is too late. He has no choice but to come back to Hogwarts but what if there is a law that will help him to see that he is better than he think he is? Harry Potter is not mine. It never will be but I hope so dearly it is. The credits all belongs to J.K. Rowling and the Warner Bros. But the story plot is mine. [ON HIATUS]

Eight minutes. That, was all the time it took for Draco and Hermione's lives, to completely change forever.

Sharing a common room is one thing, but private tutoring is another. Postwar, Hermione Granger has little reason to trust Draco Malfoy, but perhaps a change of heart and sacred oath may convince her otherwise.

All Hermione wanted to do was to return to Hogwarts and finish her education with a bang as Head Girl. After that, she had her whole life sorted out. She would work things out with Ron, work at the ministry, and become Minister for Magic one day. The universe, as usual, had other plans. Draco certainly wasn't expecting McGonagall to pick him as Head Boy but Harry Potter declined and as per usual, he was the second choice. Unsure what the people back in school had in store for then after all the Death Eater business they were involved in, he returns to Hogwarts with his friends to finish their education anyway. Neither one saw the partnership coming, nor the friendship forged between their two sides. They really didn't plan for any of it to happen - the law, the friendship or the love that changed both of them.
