Fans of founding father Alexander Hamilton and the founding father that should have been, John Laurens, will hopefully enjoy this modern take on the relationship that has drawn international attention since opening night of the award winning musical, Hamilton. In this modern take, Hamilton and Laurens meet at Fort Benning where they both arrive for Basic training. This work is a collaboration between Wattpad authors @n0seinabook and @Adhale1774. Adhale1774 writes Alexander Hamilton POV while n0seinabook writes John Laurens. Being this is a story taking men from the 18th century and transporting them to a modern setting, each author made decisions regarding their characters in what was to be kept and what could change in order to modernize the story. Both chose how they envisioned each man in this time period. Being that AdHale had previously written Hamilton with Lin Manuel Miranda as his base at the request of writing partners, and due to the fact 18th century Nevis is nothing like modern Nevis anyway, Hamilton in this story is Puerto Rican. He still hails from the Caribbean, holding that true to character, but a different location than actual Hamilton. N0seinabook has been writing Laurens privately as well as with ADHale for coming on five years and has a clear vision of the brave man in this century. You will not find the internalized homophobia often characterized in the man himself, but rather a confident, proud gay man seeking his own fame as Col Laurens did in his short, brave life. The role of Laurens has mentally been played by Liam Hemsworth.

Lady Eleanor Cantwell, daughter of the Marquess of Salford, is a proper young lady. With her golden complexion, raven-black hair, and manners befitting a princess, Lady Eleanor has always been deemed a belle. There is just one problem. Lady Eleanor Cantwell is Indian. Having been adopted from India when Lady Salford found herself unable to bear a child, Lady Eleanor is shunned by society, including her mother, on account of her true heritage. The ladies turn their noses at her and the gentlemen only wish for her virtue which she clings to dearly. They certainly have no wish to wed an Indian girl, no matter how pretty she is! Which is why the entire ton is incredulous when a young man - a duke, no less! - offers his hand in marriage to the young daughter of the Marquess of Salford. Lady Eleanor finds it quite hard to believe that any gentleman would wish to marry her and instead of feeling grateful, all she feels is remorse and anger. A husband would only bring with him a mountain of restrictions that were detrimental to her plans of travelling the world - the land of her ancestors, in particular. So, when her parents sell her off to the duke, she realises that she no longer cares for society, her beloved father, or her reputation. And when the duke makes her an enticing offer, she realises she would have to abandon all sense of propriety, manners, and rules to do what he asks of her. She would have to defy. . * 1st Place Winner in HISTORICAL FICTION of the HIDDEN GEMS AWARDS * Featured in the "Diverse Fiction" reading list by @Ambassadors * Featured in the "Historical Fiction" reading list by @AmbassadorsIN * Featured in the "Ambassador's Monthly Picks (Oct 2025)", "War & Military" and "Historical DiverseLit" reading lists by @HistoricalFiction * Featured in the "Historical Adventures" and "DiverseLit Adventures" reading lists by @adventure

Phoebe has been encumbered with a task: finding a husband. Of course, it was a rather common expectation for a young woman of the early 1800s. However, Phoebe's husband-to-be had additional requirements. First, the man should be willing to give his name to a woman who decorated her conversations with stutters. Secondly, the husband-to-be would have to sacrifice his previous pursuits and instead continue her father's plantation. Thirdly, the said-husband must be of liberal-mind and use the plantation as a ruse to free slaves. Surprisingly, this task may not be as herculean to a visiting English-man.

Everyone's creating fan clubs these days, so I decided to create one. This is mostly about the American Revolution surrounded by Hamilton. But I'll most likely go and do events not relating to Hamilton as well. Another beautiful world to go to when the fandom goes crazy.
