Mara Averill has spent her life invisible by design: an icy, brilliant legal aid built on discipline, distance, and doors that never fully open. But the night a specific contract makes it to her desk for her to sign, her world tears wide enough for monsters to slip through. A single drop of her blood shatters the balance. Every vampire in the city can smell her: raw, intoxicating, impossible. And the first to find her is Lucien Vashkiel, an enforcer forged for obedience and violence... until he tastes her. What should have been a routine extraction becomes a catastrophe. Her scent unravels him. Her power burns through him. Her defiance only makes the hunger worse. Now Mara is hunted by creatures older than law and hungrier than death. Some who want to drink her dry, others who want to chain her, and one rumored king who might kill to claim her. But Mara is no lamb. And whatever sleeps inside her, whatever the scar in her palm was meant to cage, is waking. As the city descends into a silent war for her blood, Mara must decide which monster she'll gamble her life on: the enforcer losing himself to want... or the king whose throne is built on it. One thing is certain: Her blood won't just change their world. It will remake it. ⚠️CONTENT WARNING⚠️ This story contains: Violence, blood, and supernatural injury Abduction, restraint, and power imbalance Vampire feeding and blood-related themes Explicit sexual content Addiction-related themes Coercive situations and intense predator/prey dynamics Psychological distress and mature themes This work of fiction is very much intended for mature audiences. Izuku was known to be an only child who was born with no quirk. Despite this set back he still aimed to be a hero, but no one believed in him. No one gave him that time of the day to try and cheer him up, instead they put him down. He was bullied by his childhood friend for being quirkless, and told he'd amount to nothing, not even his mother had faith in him. It made him feel like it was just him against the world, in order to attain his dreams... except, it wasn't just him. Did you think All Might was the first to believe in him? You're wrong, it wasn't him. No... it was someone before him. Someone who gave him hope. Someone who cheered him on and kept pushing him forward. Someone he never thought would be his motivation to keep going, even more so, when his quirk 'manifested' late. After all, she was only a kid... A kid that played a role so large in his life that when it took a turn, he never expected for her to be the one he'd rely on. The one to brave the world with him.

What if the world tearing itself apart was what brought two star-crossed lovers together? As World War I rages, a war also rages inside the hearts of Will and Anasasia (Anna) Johnson, two orphans adopted into the same home without their knowledge. When he's called to serve, and she nearly dies from the Spanish Flu, their bond deepens into a forbidden love that defies morality, family, and faith itself. As their love is slowly discovered, the town turns against them, and they retreat into each other. Will clings to Anna as his neurodiverse Lighthouse, and his yellow rose, the woman he would cross Texas for. Anna latches on to him as her neurotypical anchor, the one who interprets the world and makes it safe for her. As their love deepens, they must decide whether or not to stand firm as they face down the loss of the friends, futures, and possibly their lives. Haunted by memories from past lives lost, and apparitions that even others can see, Will and Anna begin to suspect that this might not be their first time falling in love. The Lighthouse of Galveston is a haunting story of forbidden love, war, soulmates, sacrifice, civil rights, and the gray areas of the human heart. It's perfect for readers who enjoy: Star-crossed lovers Slow-burn romantic tension War-shadowed coming-of-age stories Historical fiction with psychological realism Literary romance with moral complexity Haunting love stories with metaphysical undertones Written with sharp psychological realism, it asks: Do we choose who we love? What kinds of love are acceptable? How far should we go to protect the people we love most? And most importantly Is it ok not to have all the answers? For readers of Cold Mountain, The Time Traveler's Wife, and Atonement, The Lighthouse of Galveston explores how even the purest love can challenge everything we believe about right and wrong.

Two hundred years in the future, everyone lives in Antarctica, which has been divided into the 7 kingdoms of Amity, Aliah, Esandor, Amarllia, Beneva, Belossa and Kultealias. With wars raging, there's only one safe place: a school where legendary soldiers go. But as Ella, Zara, Sam, and Charlie leave their families behind, they arrive invited to join. They quickly realise that the school is both magical and evil as they manipulate the students to become their soldiers in the continent's civil wars. Additionally, they face a monster called a Bon-crocker, which takes over people's minds after they die. It appears almost unchanged, with the only visible change being that their eyes become mindlight black in the dark. Meanwhile, Maxie and Reece are fighting to join them as they run from the kings and queens who wish them dead by joining the school. As their siblings are dragged into the fight, they work together to free everyone. Ella Stark is a shy girl who appears to have no magical powers, unlike her classmates. Samatha Williams has the unique power to shift, which she uses when escaping, but she comes back for everyone cause she can't leave her friends behind. Maxie and Reece are two immortal teenagers who, despite their looks, have already escaped from the school. Years later, they are being hunted down, so they are forced to return to where they find things are worse than before. Zara Larson knew what the school was like when she arrived, so she already had plans on how to use her magical powers of communication to escape. However, Charlie Smith's power of sleep gets in her way.
