Stiles lives on his family's cattle farm, 60km away from the small country town called Beacon Hills, with his father and their farm hands Scott, Boyd and Parrish Derek lives on the run, he's been doing it for five years. He drives the country side in his old beat up Toyota, doing farm and station work so he could earn enough money for fuel and food to stay alive. Never staying anywhere longer than a week, laying low and keeping his head down. That was his system. Stiles never fit in with all of the other kids. He was, well he wasn't that different, he was just like them. People did call him Wolf Boy though... It seemed that everyone in Beacon Hill knew about his paw-shaped birthmark that rested on his back placed directly in the center of his left shoulder blade. It was just a birthmark, he never understood what the big deal about it was. Could it have been his love and interest in wolves that also pushed them to call him that name? Stiles was never too sure. One midwinter night in his family's cabin in the woods changed Stiles' life when an injured wolf found its way onto the porch of the cabin. There was no going back. This was going to be a one shot but after I got over 10000 words I'm making it a short story instead, enjoy It's in Stiles point of view, Stiles gets a new job and a place to sleep thanks to his friends Lydia and Erica, only the job he's actually got to do wasn't the one he was originally told about, Can Stiles do the job in a year that requires every part of Mr Hale's cooperation without him knowing

It took Stiles about a week to figure out that he shared his apartment building with someone who very well may be the hottest man he's ever seen. It then took about three weeks to narrow down which of the possible six floors he lives on. After that it takes another week to figure out that the guy works as an EMT because he’s in the elevator wearing his tight uniform and Stiles didn’t think it was possible for the guy to look hotter, but it is totally possible.

Derek wouldn’t say he’s an unobservant person. He’s good at taking in his surroundings, analyzing a situation enough to know whether he should stay or leave for his own comfort. But when he drives to and from work, his world becomes the inside of his car, and his thoughts turn to the errands or projects he has to do rather than looking at the countless advertisements and billboards he drives past.
