Faramir Took dreams of adventures and quests, and longs to be part of the great tales and songs like his father is. When Pippin tells him a new story about the mysterious Ent-Wives, Faramir decides it would be a good adventure to go looking for one, and drags his friend Gorbadoc Brandybuck along with him. The only problem is, their quest leads them deep into the Old Forest, a place all hobbits fear to speak of. Their adventure will test the limits of their friendship and their courage as they fight to find their way home.

I just love the world and want to fill in some narrative gaps in the First Age. Legolas receives a strange letter from Aragorn asking him to meet in Imladris. But something happens on the road and Legolas and his captain, Thaladir, discover something disturbing about the new enemy. Something that could take them, Aragorn, and others as far as the Mines of Moria. After a failed spider mission, Legolas is left injured beyond what the Greenwood healers can help. Thranduil, worried for his son's Fea, sends him to Imladris for help. But the unit escorting the prince is attacked on the way and Legolas, after barely escaping, then fleas to the most unlikely of places where he hides, refusing to tell anyone of his whereabouts, afraid to go to Imladris, afraid to go home. This story fills in some gaps from The Return and creates a few more that I may delve into in a later fic.
