(Editing incomplete) Jurassic Park went down in history as a disastrous failure, an idea with good intentions that went horribly awry. For Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Sattler, the two were happy to return to a life strictly dealing with bones. Despite the terrible things they had come to witness, their love for the creatures that had once roamed the Earth had yet to dwindle and carried on into their legacy. Raised among two of the most world-renowned dinosaur experts, their daughter, Keira Grant is next in line to carry on the work of her parents. With a palaeontologist for a father and a paleobotanist as a mother, Keira's life is strictly dino-related from the time of her birth and it comes as no surprise when she decides to follow in the steps of her parents. However, Alan and Ellie never anticipated that their daughter would be roped into the same trap that they had fallen into all those years before. With the opening of Jurassic World theme park, Keira is lured to the appeal of working with the creatures she has learned so much about over the years, along with the promise from the park itself that things will be different this time around. With new safety precautions put into place, along with advanced technology, Jurassic World is deemed safe and the park is opened with Keira working among the herbivores on site. But things certainly begin to change when Keira meets up once more with ever-flirtatious and aloof, Owen Grady the Raptor Trainer as he steps into her territory. And unfortunately, the carnivores aren't far behind, especially one, in particular, that shows no mercy to anything with a pulse. Cover Credit: @tantarts

SIREN is a novel about six people from around the world selected by the UN to investigate a strange musical transmission emanating from Neptune's orbit. They're given a spaceship with cutting edge technology, placed into an induced coma, and expected to report back in three years time. But when the awakened crew arrives at the origin of the transmission, their electronics malfunction and they're driven through the Kuiper Belt. With their engines ruined, oxygen supplies dwindling and one of the team members suffering from hypoxia, time is of the essence for the troubled squad. Their situation grows ever more tense when Tommy Fletcher discovers three alien ships watching their every move. Tommy Fletcher, the protagonist of SIREN, is the resident linguistics expert who over-thinks, second-guesses and has a habit of biting his nails. He may be in his late twenties, but Tommy's ceaseless trepidation makes the rest of the hardened crew feel like he's fragile and witless. Will the chaotic events happening around Tommy break his brittle will, or can he shed his hesitant demeanour and become a hero?

In 1866, ships of several nations spot a mysterious sea monster, which some suggest is a giant narwhal. The US government assembles an expedition to find and destroy the monster. Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water. They are quickly captured and then meet the enigmatic Captain Nemo. ~ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne and was originally published in 1870. The novel was originally serialized between March 1869 and June 1870 in Pierre-Jules Hetzel's periodical, the Magasin d'Éducation et de Récréation. An illustrated edition, published by Hetzel in November 1871, included 111 illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is regarded as one of the premiere adventure novels and one of Verne's greatest works, along with Around the World in Eighty Days and Journey to the Center of the Earth. He looked over at me in the dimness, fingers loose in my grip. "You are hurting me," he said, without interest. He had caked powder on his already pale skin, all of one shade except for points made by a hot pencil. Though it was no longer the mode at court, the new fashion more ostentatious and overdrawn, he still favored it, and as I did. My fingers crept up his wrist. I felt rough punctures, half healed and raw, a scattering of them, and I pulled. Laurent could not resist, weakened by the drawing of his blood. My vocal cords had been severed by the younger one's teeth, and so I could not speak, but I pushed up his sleeve, the luxury of his white linen, and found his arm colored like a polluted river. I touched the bites with my fingertips, ten, fifteen, twenty. "I have felt your judgment already," L whispered, trying to pull his arm back, "I have felt it these now two hundred years. Judgment judgment. Cry not. Is it pity? You are a cold thing, without heart, to judge me for what I do. Prideful toad." His arm muscles worked against my grip beneath his blood bruised skin. "Unhand me. Wretched, lye-broken flesh." After a time, he made a sound like a trapped fox, a dying child's keen, and gave up, lying back on the bed such that his hair fell across my face. My other hand found his neck and stroked him. "You will not know what it feels like, good heart," he said to me, softly, doing me one of his gentle nips of an insult, "for love to change you in an instant." He relaxed under my stroking, and his tone softened. "I only meant to help him die." ** After his untimely death, the story of the vampire "L" comes together. Devotees tell the story from many points of view across history, painting a portrait of a man crushed by great loves, desperation, and the indifferent march of time. featured 3/9/16 complete 8/31/16 Editing, as of 5/11/2018. An angel and demon, inevitably bound together by unknown depths of the universe and connected through an even greater force known as love. Xavion sees no joy in this supposedly fair world rebuilt by Yahweh and his angels. His neglectful upbringing and specist society caused an endless cycle of self-pity and loathing for others. Malach, the soon to be ruler of Heaven, is a particularly bothersome nuisance who seems to be hell-bent on ruining Xavion's life every chance he gets. Can two creatures destined by birth to despise each other learn to look beneath their initial layers of superficiality? Content/trigger warning: This story contains strong language, violence, atypical religious themes and sexual activity.
