This is an older fanfic written before the events of Season 5 of The Clone Wars detailing how Ahsoka escaped Order 66.

Duchess Satine Kryze and the peaceful New Mandalorians have fallen. Bloodlust and desire for war is sparking, like it has so many times before. The only source of supplies to Mandalore is the black market. In need of provisions to feed and arm the increasingly restless population, Death Watch commandos have begun attacking supply transports for the war effort that ventured too close to the system, making them an interest to both the Separatists and the Republic. In the middle of all this stands Lirei Kenzen. Lirei is definitely someone you wouldn't want to meet. She's beautiful, incredibly intelligent and the best weapons specialist on Mandalore. A deadly combination, and an explosion waiting to happen, due to her dangerous, best-kept and perhaps even life-changing secret. Years later, the Empire catches up with her. They give her a difficult choice: to work for them or to rot in jail for her supposed crimes against the Empire. Under arrest on Coruscant for her refusal to cooperate, she's given a holo-recording device for an eventual confession. Instead, she uses it to record her story, and in a last attempt to clear her name before her trial, she hides it in a crack in the wall of her cell. Because in the end, there's only Mandalore. And Mandalorians go down fighting.

A rebel cell running a routine mission finds itself in over their heads as the forces of the dark empire com to bear. With the help of former Jedi Ahsoka Tano they find themselves fighting the enemy back, but with unexpected parties involved and questioning their purposes, they wonder how black and white their position in this war truly is.
