"Don't judge a book by its cover." Maybe I know exactly what you're thinking - I don't have the right to write something like this. Maybe I can't actually write something like this. I might be too young, too emotional, too naïve, too child-minded. Maybe every word I've written is in direct breach of the "Girl Code." Maybe I'm just crazy... Or maybe I have every right to do what I've done. Maybe someone should have done this a long time ago. Maybe I can do the "impossible;" or the Girl Code is meant to be broken. Maybe there's no right age or right time. Maybe a child's mind and an over-emotional state are the best perspectives from which to write this sort of thing. Maybe I'm effing genius!!! That's just it though. Those maybes, those unknowns, those uncertainties...they're exactly what we depend on. Hell, we thrive on them. A part of you is as curious about what I have to say as I was when I began to write it. A part of you is intrigued by what I'm saying right now...let's just hope I can keep you interested.
