Sofia and her friends are now grown up and facing new changes, and there's a very big change coming. Twenty-year-old Prince Hugo proposes to Sofia on her 19th birthday, and she happily accepts! Sofia and Hugo are very much looking forward to their future, and they want the wedding to be perfect. But there are two people who aren't going to make that easy: Amber and James.

Sofia is distraught when the flying derby tryout race is cancelled, and she doesn't feel any better when Amber jealously plays a nasty prank on her in front of Hugo. Before she knows it, Sofia finds herself swept up in a windstorm and finds herself in the Land of Oz! On her way to see the Sorcerer of Oz, Sofia meets some very familiar faces who accompany her on her journey. But she needs to watch her back with the Wicked Witch of the West. It's that time of year again for the Flylight Pageant, and Amber, Ruby, and Jade are excited, but there's one problem: they're too old to do it anymore. Sofia just wants to accept this, but Amber, Ruby, ad Jade come up with a way to continue participating in the pageant.

Sofia, James, Amber, Hugo, and Axel are trying something new: visiting the Funny Food Farm, where there are silly versions of usual fruits and vegetables. At the farm, Amber finds some sparkle-berries, and she loves them so much that she doesn't want to eat anything else...and her addiction to sparkle-berries leads to a fiasco that's not so funny.

Sofia is getting older, and so are her friends and siblings. As her 13th birthday approaches, she wonders if anything would be any different had she never been a princess. Cedric helps her out by transporting her to the Never Realm, an alternate reality where Sofia had never become a princess.

During the 41 years of being trapped inside the Amulet of Avalor, Princess Elena had chosen princesses to wear it to see who had what it took to release her...and the only princess to do that was Sofia. But Amber wonders why Elena never picked her to wear the Amulet.

Prince Hugo's kingdom is participating in an Avaloran tradition: a Carnval parade. In all the excitement, a magical accident brings the float model to life, and Hugo and Axel find themselves with a new pet that everyone adores...everyone except a certain alpacamundi.

Grimtrix the Good is finally getting married to Megan the Marvelous, and the royal family is helping out. But Sofia may have to pitch in when she and Prince Hugo realize the wedding is at stake.

Being royals and Protectors of the Ever Realm, Sofia and Prince Hugo are very busy, which is why the chief Protectors give them each a week off, so they can relax. But it turns out relaxing may be harder than they hoped.
