"Seriously, Jungkook, could you be any louder?" Jin snapped at me out of nowhere, his voice sharp enough to make me jump. "Baby, I didn't say anything-I'm just breathing," I replied softly, trying to keep the peace and not rile him up further. "Then stop breathing," he shot back, his teeth gritted, his tone laced with irritation. I let out an awkward chuckle, hoping to lighten the mood. "Ha ha, baby, you know I can't do that. Our little bun would be down one parent, and you'd be stuck a widower. That doesn't sound too great to me." He tilted his head, a sweet smile curling his lips, but his words sent a nervous chill down my spine. "Okay then, if you don't listen to me now, our bun will have one parent less and be born in prison. How does that sound to you?" He offered him a contract. But what he took was far more than consent. Jungkook was the kind of artist people whispered about. Not because he spoke, but because he didn't. Not because he loved, but because he painted like he had. Violently. Obsessively. As if every canvas could crack open the body and show the soul beneath. Six months before his next exhibition - the most coveted of the decade - he had nothing. No form moved him. No image stayed. His hunger had outgrown his art. And then he saw him. A man standing in the rain by the Han River, head tilted to the sky like he was listening to a god no one else could hear. Soaked. Still. Entirely unaware that someone had just decided to break him open. Jungkook sent for him. Their first meeting wasn't tender. It was transactional. "I want to paint you," he said. "As you are. As you'll become. For six months. On your knees, in pieces, however I see you. You'll name your price. I'll pay it. But I won't promise kindness. Or mercy." Jin said yes. What followed was not a love story. It was a reckoning in seven paintings - each more intimate, more invasive, more breathtaking than the last. The world called it a masterpiece. The critics called it The Seven Stages of Love. But those who looked too long saw something else entirely: A man unraveling another man in real time. A deal that should've stayed on paper. And a canvas that never should've been hung.
