George ran a hand through his hair in distress as she walked away from him, her head held high. "What do I have to do to make you admit you love me?" George's voice cracked as he called out to her. Samantha stopped in her tracks and froze for a moment. Then, she turned on her heel. Her face was set in a hard scowl. Her anger at him had only grown from his sudden and unexpected comment. "Is that what you want me to say? You want me to admit it?" "For Christ's sake yes!" George exclaimed. "Fine!" She threw her hands up into the air in exasperation. "You win, George!" Samantha laughed incredulously. "I've always loved you-you -you goddamn idiot." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Samantha Clarke moved from America to Liverpool in 1956 at fourteen years old and met four lads who were destined to become one of the most famous bands in history. George Harrison bumped into his friend Paul and a random redhead girl on his walk home from school on a cloudy day in 1957. For both of them, there was a long and winding road ahead. "and I only say hello and turn away before his lady knows how much I wanna see him." In 1968, Lynnette Newman isn't looking for a serious relationship. She's an up and coming singer-songwriter from Los Angeles who knows just about everyone in Laurel Canyon, just so happened to land herself a contract with Apple Records, and would very much like her closet to look like Nancy Sinatra's. In 1968, Paul McCartney is running out of luck. The Beatles are starting to fall apart, his relationship with his longtime girlfriend is falling apart with it, and quite frankly, he just misses the way things used to be. 1968 was a pretty crazy year for all parties involved. But as the curtain begins to close on one hell of a decade, two musicians can't seem to stay away from each other. ... And love might've had something to do with it. mature themes: alcohol use, drug references / use, themes of mental health, and sex. disclaimer: this is a work of fiction, and as such, all real life events and depictions of people are modified or created by me for entertainment purposes only ! [ part 1 of this story is complete, and part 2 is STILL being updated! albeit very very slowly :) comments & votes are always appreciated, hope you enjoy and thanks so much for reading! x ]

[George Harrison x OC] *TRIGGER WARNING - This story contains sensitive topics that some people might find triggering. If you're easily triggered, then please take caution while reading this story* George Harrison is a world-famous guitarist and member of The Beatles. The year is 1964, and Beatlemania is in full swing. Girls all over the world are screaming and swooning at the sight of him. He's living the life, as it appears, but the only thing he wants is a break from the fame. Somewhere he can escape to without getting mobbed by a swarm of fans. Clover Quinton is a brilliant Yale student with strict, wealthy parents. They're forcing Clover to become a neurosurgeon, with no verbal dispute from her. Although seemingly in-order and successful, Clover is severely depressed and goes to extreme lengths to help cope with the immense amount of stress she undergoes daily. She is extremely intimidated by her parents, and does everything they tell her to, no matter how much it hurts her. All Clover wants is an escape from her daily struggles, and the guts to tell her parents how she really feels. One night, when Clover is overwhelmed with homework and studying, her best friend Maria Sims forces her to go out to a club with her. Having just taken depression medication, Clover becomes blackout drunk despite not drinking very much. The same night, George Harrison wakes up on a park bench near that same club with nothing but the clothes on his back and a strange locket he won at a poker game in his pocket. George finds the bar and recognizes Clover as the woman inside the locket and tries to ask her for help. Clover, however, is incapable of forming a coherent thought and instead ends up inviting him to her home and passing out on the kitchen floor. Once Clover regains consciousness and hears George's story, she becomes determined to help him find a way home.
