(Short Story Oneshot) After the large scale battle over Fräulein Kreutune and his little fight with Thor, Kamijou Touma finds himself in a hospital bed resting over the gunshot wound he gained earlier on in the battle. As he relaxes, he receives a visit from the #3 ranked Level 5 esper Misaka Mikoto. She arrives angered and... sad? Kamijou Touma definitely owes her an apology. (Note: Takes place after New Testament: A Certain Magical Index Volume 6)

In this story, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka wasn't the sole survivor of the Demonic 4th Generation. Here, four outstanding students of this generation enter ANHS, each one is placed in a different class. With their newfound freedom, some will try to prove their superiority, while others will try to enjoy a peaceful life in the outside world. She awakens.. naked.. afraid.. confused.. within a large transparent pod.. She feels cold.. shivering and wet as the cryogenic sleep wears off.. "K-Kirito?.... S-Sinon..? A-Asuna...? Touma!?" She calls out the names of her friends one by one.. hitting the inside of the pod with her fists. "Anybody!?" She then notices something strange around her neck.. small. not a collar.. as it goes around the back of her neck, not completely around.. using her reflection in the pod.. she reads the brand name.. "Neuro Linker.." She pushes open the door of the pod.. and falls into a desolate looking abandoned lab.. where is she? Or perhaps a more accurate question should be... WHEN is she?

Mikoto, Sinon and Kirito have been living in the Underworld for 2 years now. Both Kirito and Mikoto, along with Eugeo, have become Elite Sword Masters each with their own Valet. Kirito has obtained his sword from the Gigas Cedar, the Night Sky Sword, while Mikoto has obtained the River Spirit Sword and dual wields it along with her Master Sword. Sinon in the meantime, has joined the Archery Corps. When Mikoto's Valet, Stella, discovers a dark secret that nearly costs her life, Mikoto and Sinon decide to head out to investigate.. In the process they discover an entire armada of Viros swarming out of a strange portal near the goblin territories. Meanwhile, in the real world, Accelerator and Asuna find themselves in a massive battle against the forces of God's Right Seat and secret forces from the Japanese Government, all of whom seem to be interested in Kazuto, Mikoto, and Shino.. And even stranger still, a dark figure seeks to find the Brain Burst Program, and develop something with it.. The world of Railgun Online is becoming larger still, and there's no telling where it might lead

This is a story about Misaka Mikoto and Kamijou Touma, and how their paths are interlinked. With a Level 5 and a Level 0, its no wonder the stars are so terribly crossed. Academy City is a place for espers with various powers to nurture and grow with the aid of the stupendous curriculum. With a teleporter, a thermo hand and even an imagine breaker as friends, its no wonder life as the third ranked level 5, "The Railgun", is so hard for poor Mikoto-chan! Well, at least she has Touma. "What if the game was about steam punk themes and automatic weapons? And what if you get a big fat pay check for playing?" Accelerator then grinned and said. "Well.. sounds a bit too good to be true, what's the catch?" The catch? Well.. it had one name: Death Gun.
