Ink sits in Outertale thinking about his problems and fights with his friend Dream. Error bumps into Ink while in Outertale and they have a conversation. Error accidentally calls Ink cute and that one word changes everything. Ink eventually develops a crush on Error and tells Blue. Blue not knowing it's a secret tells Dream and that was a bad choice. Dream kicks Ink off the team and Nightmare finds him at his worst. Nightmare remembers how he found his gang at their worst, so he decides to take Ink in.

Looking for a creepy place to play games, Nightmare brought his friends to an abandoned mansion, ignoring the rumors about it being haunted. It didn't take long before weird things started happening in this insanely dark place though. But if there really are ghost here, what do they want ?
