The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralized by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same time period. It follows the lives of several protagonists through these events. The most notable are Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. Darnay is a former French aristocrat who falls victim to the indiscriminate wrath of the revolution despite his virtuous nature, and Carton is a dissipated English barrister who endeavors to redeem his ill-spent life out of his unrequited love for Darnay's wife. Being a marine was all Jules wanted to be, despite her parents reservations. However, being caught in an explosion in Afghanistan, Jules is sent home with no memory of her time there or the love she found overseas. Now, two years later, Julia is working in the local library, with an overprotective mother who would do anything to keep her from learning the truth. But will a chance encounter with someone from her past make Julia remember who she truly is -and can she ever be the same person again? Just a few notes: 1. My knowledge of the Armed Forces is limited so expect mistakes although I shall try my best to make everything as accurate as possible. 2. I have recently posted the prequel to this book called 'Seven Years'. 3.This book is dedicated to all the men and women who put themselves in harms way to serve their country, wherever they may be; past and present.

**Only the bonus chapter is paid, the rest of the story is (and will stay) free!!** Libby Marks-Whelan is decidedly not a lady. Kicked out of nearly every finishing school in the country, she's shocked when her demure, straight-laced cousin Ella invites her to the royal court as attendant during her debutante season. What Ella fails to realize, however, is that Libby's brand of mischief is exactly the kind of distraction Prince Andrew is looking for during his inaugural season as an eligible bachelor. ***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain. *** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett. There was not anything seemingly frightening about Thea, but she could stop a man dead in their tracks without even lifting a finger. She is an Empath, one with the rare ability to sense and manipulate the emotions of those around her. Her uncle, the king, uses this to his own advantage, forcing Thea to do his bidding. But under his majesty's rule, the kingdom has fallen into ruin, with the Red Fever running rampant. There are whispers of an uprising, their sole purpose to restore order to the land. With pressure mounting, Thea is not sure how much more her powers can take before madness sets in. Will she side with the rebels and return Lyria to its former glory, or will Thea remain under her uncle's rule and protect the only family she has left?
