What if, in the episode Mind Freakers, instead of Neil being obsessed over Harrison's magic trick and how he could do it, he was actually worried about Max rather than the magic trick? I'll tell you what would happen-- Maxeil/Nax would become sO CANON- *ahem* Anyway, a whole new story would unwind, and the two would fall in love. The problem is, Max is incredibly dense, since he never loved anyone romantically before (He used to love his parents, but let's not get into that... yet). So, Max tries his best to understand /why/ he feels so happy around Neil, or the knot in his chest when he sees Tabbii fawning over Neil. It's time for Max to learn How to Love Someone.

Max has lived a hard life, and can't take any more abuse, so when camp is close to its end, David got rather suspicious that something might be going on with max. Max refuses to tell David, and in doing so goes back with his abusive family. Max then decides to leave his family after a painful beating he had received. He then runs away to find David.
