Since the beginning of time, the Narrowers have collected and stored every memory that was ever forgotten in a dimension known as the Vents. Now, at the turn of the twentieth century, the Foretelling-a prophecy that threatens to tear theVents apart-is poised to reveal itself. Twelve-year-old Sadie Madison cannot forget. Anything. Sadie lives with her family in the town of Iron Bridge, on the banks of the River Myr, deep in the Shadow Valley, where she loves reading scary books and playing make-believe. "No matter your problems, face them with a bright smile and a bucket of chocolate ice-cream," nana once wisely told me. At the time, I was barely twelve and thought that I could summon a unicorn if I just believed in myself. A decade later, despite my massive student loans and almost nonexistent love life, that piece of advice was all I needed to maintain good mental health and earn myself some lovely padded hips. Little did I know that a horrific monster was lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike and scare the living daylights out of my naïve and helpless self. 'There she goes again with the metaphors and literary witchcraft...' Did you really have to make an entrance right now, conscience? I was about to get to the exciting part. As I was saying, that hideous monster popped out of nowhere and there was no ice-cream bucket big enough to vanquish it. Hence, I only reacted the way an average person such as myself would. 'You gathered your forces and made it creep back into the shadows? It realized that you were too nice and boring to be messed with? Or did Prince Charming arrive, on his white horse of course, and saved little helpless you?' Nope, not exactly and definitely not. I ran away and left everything and everyone I ever cared about behind. 'Remind me again why we're having an emotional trip down memory lane?' Because it's about time I went back and fixed everything. - 🏆 1st place winner in The Duck Awards (Romance Category) - 🏆 1st place winner in The Chaos Awards 8 (Humor Category) - 🏆 2nd place winner in THE ROMANCE READS CONTESTS (Lovers Category) - 🏆 2nd place winner in The Sparkle and Shine Awards 2K19 (Romcom Category) - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's Romance - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's Cupid - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's NA - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's Multicultural -

"Your voice.." He said still staring deeply into my eyes. I gave a question mark expression and he continued "I have heard your voice for the first time in all these days and it's too sweet." He told and laughed intently. "Don't worry princess . Try to enjoy your life. don't hold back yourself. He told and left my hands and before turning back he caressed my hair with his hand with a nod and left to my dad. "Princess" --. This is what my dad calls me and it felt good for some reason when he called me the same. And yes these are my first words since the day I came from college and found all this surprise.
