Yet when the year starts with a blackout, spirits falter. When the sky becomes decorated with glittering lights, not everyone is willing to let the party ends so soon.

Tunlitston is an alright city to live in and call home, according to Rayne at least. With a small apartment and a run-of-the-mill retail job, things can only get so exciting. That is until Rayne finds an old music box at a garage sale. Dirt and rust alone aren't enough to discourage Rayne's interest. However, the small toy clown that suddenly pops out of it might. As the little guy brings more life to not only Rayne and the city as a whole.

Here every citizen is a worker and with every day being a workday, it doesn't make for the most enjoyable place to live. However, when colors begin appearing in the grey-scaled city, things get lively fast. Sol, an average worker, does their best to navigate the changing city while doing their best to keep them, and their pet Hue, out of trouble.

[Volume 1 | 2 of 3] Heita is a city of only four colors; cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. This particular color scheme isn't just limited to the architecture, but the people too. When Sol finds themselves in this bright and fun-loving city, they aren't sure how to react. Suddenly getting adopted doesn't help. Meanwhile, the city has a growing problem of Masked, a group that is suspected of abducting people. The two of them with the help of Hue and a friend must do what they can to keep each other safe.

Sol and the others do their best to fit in, but superstition runs deep in the community. When more and more homes are getting breached at night, they are blamed. Yet the true culprit isn't something any of them could imagine.

Yet, things quickly go wrong when the group finds out what happened when you have nothing left to bet. Old faces cause new problems and answer some questions, at a price.

[Volume 2 | 3 of 3] Quilten Village is a cute little place where the people are stuffed animals filled with nothing but cotton and a joy for life. When Sol and others arrive they find the places have a bit of a monster problem. But what harm can a toy monster cause? The residents are fine with ignoring it in favor of a festival anyway, so why bother taking the chance. When Quince's desire to help puts Sol in danger, they find out how much damage a few stuffed animals can cause.

With no electricity and damaged roads, Sol, their friends, and a few new faces must make their way to safety after a storm tears apart their camp. Tired and frustrated, Sol comes across signs of an old enemy and learns their role in the history of the city.

[Volume 3 | 2 of 3] Beanberg is an odd city, to say the least. The people here love coffee. It is in every food and drink available. The air is stained with the smell. Every form of large plant life has been modified to produce coffee beans. Although it is hardly a dangerous one, caffeine is still an addictive drug and one not without its consequences.
