Life of Maya and Carina after starting their family

Carina and Maya DeLuca-Bishop are married loving couple. Maya is a firefighter at the Seattle Fire Department, and Carina is a GYN a doctor at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Carina and Maya have been eager to start a family, Carina's been having issues and Maya as well, the pair don't wanna give up so they kept looking into different ways on how to start a family. Carina becomes a hostage in a situation at the hospital, as a fire also breaks out in the hospital, Carina and Maya come across a 6 year girl that will forever change their lives.

After several failed attempts to have a child, Maya and Carina slowly gave up on it. But when Scarlett, a kid in foster care, makes an impression on Maya, it lit her fire once again. Maya and Carina made it their mission to house and raise the girls, but when their biological mother is suddenly clean again, the new family seems to crumble apart. Little do they know that Scarlett is following in her mother's footsteps. The story mainly focuses on Scarlett's POV, but I did include Maya's and Carina's POVs a few times.
