Ana Redwing is a half breed, spurned by her father's people, held in contempt by her mother's. An accident when she was younger has rendered her unsightly to look upon, so she ekes out a lonely existence in the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is known as a healer, practicing the medicine of her mother's tribe. But the town folk of the nearby outpost only use her knowledge when they have nothing left to lose. Consequently, she is happier with animals than people, surrounding herself with her livestock. Once a thief, always a thief. Colton Lassiter has been on the wrong side of the law too many times to count. After he double crosses the bank robbers he once rode with, he has to find a place to lay low for the winter. The Sandia Mountains outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico, seem just perfect. But he's never been very good at laying low. When he accidentally shoots his own dog, he seeks out the help of the reclusive healer Albuquerque shuns. And finds out exactly why she's ostracized. It's not until his past catches up to him on Christmas Eve that he has a chance to redeem himself, as well as prove to a damaged woman that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

"'Caution. Hotness at work. May spontaneously combust.' I read Ross' neon shirt with something akin to disgust, brushing back my hair and shooting him a glare. 'Really? Really, Ross? I hope you realize that no one's going to find you attractive when you're picking up trash from the ground with a stick.'" When Ross Alderman literally blows up Jenn's AP Chemistry class, the two of them find themselves stuck with thirty hours of community service. Now if only Jenn can last that long picking up trash with him without combusting from anger, no chemistry humor intended. (current cover by @Razeeta)

When a spate of petty thefts at the award winning Whittleford Park Country House and Spa takes a more sinister turn, uppermost in owner Edwin de Courcy's mind is to avoid any adverse publicity. The targets of what the Whittleford staff have dubbed 'The Bunny Boiler' are proving difficult to buy off with complimentary fruit baskets and luxury spa treatments. All the victims fall into that certain category of uber-fit, wealthy, forty-something women who religiously spend two hours a day in the gym and whose line-free, plump lipped, arch-browed faces could best be described as 'rabbit in headlights' (if said faces could express an emotion as complex and movement dependent as surprise). What de Courcy needs is someone willing to put themselves in the face of danger, a woman willing to immerse herself, undercover, in the pampered world of the Whittleford guest. What de Courcy needs is a honey trap. What he needs is Honey Bea, Private Investigator.

Danika Wisher has a knack at getting herself into very strange situations. With hippie polygamist parents, an unfinished college degree, weird part-time jobs and promiscuous habits, her upbringing didn't exactly scream normal. So, when she meets Landon Armstrong-in a hospital wearing a puffy powder blue dress-she doesn't think too much of it. But when she keeps meeting him, time and time again, she can't help but think that maybe there's some greater forces working there. With her Wallstreet workaholic emotionally distant not-really-boyfriend-boyfriend, and Landon's own cold hearted contortionist ex-girlfriend, they're both emotionally unavailable in their own messed up way and in no place to be in any kind of relationship. But their unlikely friendship might bring them both something that they never had expected to find-their own stars.
