People feared Alessandro Rossi. Not the normal kind of fear. Not the kind where people whispered rumors and moved on with their lives. No. They feared him the way people feared death itself. Governments avoided speaking against him. Powerful men lowered their eyes when he entered a room. News channels never mentioned his name unless they wanted accidents to suddenly happen. Alessandro Rossi was power. Darkness. Violence wrapped in expensive black suits. And everybody knew one thing about him: He had no weakness. Until her. ____ "Sir, the meeting is ready." Alex didn't answer immediately. He stood silently beside the massive glass window of his penthouse in New York, one hand inside his pocket while the city lights burned beneath him like stars. Cold. Untouchable. Dangerous. Matteo waited near the door carefully. Even after years beside him, Alex's silence could still make people nervous. Then finally- "Where is she?" His deep voice filled the room quietly. Matteo sighed internally. Of course. Not business. Not weapons. Not the politicians downstairs begging for his partnership. Her. "She's asleep, boss." Alex's eyes softened slightly. Only slightly. Enough to shock anyone who noticed. "She ate?" "Yes." "She took her medicine?" "Yes." "She cried again?" Matteo hesitated for one second too long. Alex slowly turned around. And suddenly the room felt colder. "She missed you," Matteo admitted carefully. A dangerous silence followed. Then Alex grabbed his coat immediately. "The meeting?" Matteo asked. "Cancel it." "But?-" "I said cancel it."

Grace Monroe never meant to fall for the town's biggest red flag. He's emotionally unavailable, covered in tattoos, drinks too much whiskey, disappears without explanation, and somehow still thinks glaring counts as communication. Oh... and he keeps fixing things she never asked him to touch. Her car. Her porch. Her life. Parker Calhoun was never supposed to become someone's safe place. Not after war. Not after grief. And definitely not after burying the only woman he ever loved. A retired Navy SEAL and legendary sniper, Parker has spent years outrunning ghosts, drowning memories in whiskey, and remembering the future he lost when his wife died overseas. Love isn't part of the plan anymore. Then Grace crashes into his life with smoky pink hair, sharp opinions, and a five year old little brother she's desperately trying to raise after losing their mother. She's twenty three, stubborn as hell, running on exhaustion and coffee, and somehow still manages to carry the weight of the world without asking anyone for help. Especially not Parker's help. At first, they clash. She thinks he's overbearing. He thinks she's impossible. But somewhere between late night phone calls while he's gone on missions he won't talk about, groceries mysteriously showing up on her porch, and a little boy who starts telling people Parker is his dad... Things start feeling dangerously close to a relationship. The problem? Parker knows exactly what happens when he loves someone. He loses them. And Grace has already buried enough people to know loving a man built for war comes with an expiration date. Because legends don't stay retired. And men like Parker Calhoun never come home unchanged. Some scars don't fade. But maybe some hearts are worth the risk.

"The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life. You can't always see it, but you have to trust that it's out there somewhere. And when you can see it, it's all bright and shiny and overcomes the darkness." I paused, searching for the right words. "I don't know. I guess it's a reminder that there are good things out there, even if you can't see them... And it's cool to think that someone hundreds of miles away is staring at the exact same moon as you. It makes me feel not so alone in life." Turning my head, I saw him staring at me intently with a thoughtful look on his face. "Too deep for a Friday night?" I laughed nervously, feeling my face grow hot. And this was precisely why I didn't go to parties. He shook his head and seemed to snap out of his daze. "It was deep in a good way." *** SHE was quiet & left out. Sequel to "The Girl Who Stutters, and The Boy Who Mutters." Scott and Abby have been through hell and back together, will they be able to survive a few more bumps in the road, or will their relationship be exactly what everyone said it would be. Falling apart. Join Scott and Abby as they decide what's not only best for each other, but also what's best for themselves. A/N: I wrote this summary really quickly because I wanted to get this chapter posted as soon as I could. It's not my best summary but any of my readers coming from the first book, you should already understand the basis of this story. So there's really no need for a summary anyways.

Her high school life was a complete disaster, she lived in her sister's shadow the entire time and any chance she had at having a social life was brutally murdered after Scott Rogers mocked her about her stuttering their very first day of freshman year. Scott is the quote on quote 'bad boy' of the school. Or at least that's what everyone else has him pinned as. He may be a huge flirt, but he sure doesn't sleep around. He genuinely only made fun of Abby that first day because he was curious, but then again with Scott his curiosity isn't always what he should lead by. Of course Scott and Abby went their separate ways after Scott got kicked out several weeks after the incident, and Abby was eternally grateful for that. She thought she'd never have to see her bully again since he had been shipped off to private school. But then college came along and with college comes new people...and maybe even a few old ones. What happens when not only are Scott and Abby reunited but they have to share a room? Could it be love? Hate? Follow Scott and Abby as they explore feelings they never thought they'd ever get the chance to experience and maybe even more than that. 9/21/17: #1 in Chicklit

A bullied girl meets the popular new student. ***** "Still saying that you're perfectly okay?" Max whispers. I'm surprised to hear that his voice is shaking. "I'm going to find who did this to you." ***** One time, I was the most popular girl in school. All the students in Royal Heights, the school of the richest, knew me as the pretty Luna Klein, daughter of a famous superstar and a well-known billionaire. But the next thing I know, I'm an outcast. Just because of a complicated thing called love, everything turns 180 degrees. Now, I'm the girl that everyone hates. I've lost all my friends. I've lost my best friend. And I've lost the guy that I adore. All I can do now is to ignore the bullies and to survive each day quietly, hoping that I don't attract too much attention like before. Everyone in my school starts to call me loony Luna. Or lunatic, their favorite nickname. Then he suddenly arrives. Max Cooper, the new student who just got here from Australia. Insanely good-looking and smart, topped with his impressive family background, Max easily becomes everybody's favorite, especially the girls'. Disastrously, of all the other things he can pick, Max sets his eyes on the most forbidden and despised thing in Royal Heights. Me. Even though the whole school hates that idea. But pushing Max away is like trying to tame a wild lion that has just been released from its cage. Max is unstoppable. My mother once said that if a guy is really into you, he will pursue you no matter what. I think I know now how it feels. I just don't know how to handle my heart. Because every time his piercing eyes land on me, I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. ***** THE KLEINS SERIES BOOK #2 © 2021 Anya Jayvyn. All Rights Reserved.
