A young man moves into a special institution. His old home was no longer hospitable. It never had been in the first place.
The devil who lived there made sure of such. The devil assured that he could never leave their home that was not a home. But against all odds, he eventually escaped from that hell and met strangers who unintentionally helped him. He never wanted their so-called help, however. He only wanted to be safe from the devil.
Because the devil is always with him. Always in his mind. Always in his heart. Always in his body. Always. Always there but not.
Even if people tore him from the devil on serious charges of torture, he would forever and always have the devil's work etched into his very being, body and soul.
But, there's an unexpected hope he finds that would perhaps cut the tumorous devil from his life. If regular humans could not do it, irregular ones surely could. Then again, he couldn't exactly call the inhabitants of the institution human when they were anything but, now could he?
Especially when he sees one of them floating up to the sky shrouded in a bright purple glow or another set fire to a bouquet of flowers with his bare hands....
