Lingling Sirilak Kwong was raised with silence in her veins. She doesn't shout. She doesn't ask. Her hands do the speaking-steady, exact, dangerous in a way that doesn't need to warn you twice. She leads with the kind of power that doesn't seek permission. Her world is sharp-edged and quiet, and she's made peace with being alone in it. Orm Kornnaphat Sethratanapong lives differently-under fluorescent lights, in rooms that smell like antiseptic and the weight of responsibility. Everything about her is clean, practiced, still. Her voice is soft, but her spine never bends. People depend on her. She lets them. Because she doesn't know what it's like to be chosen instead of needed. They met under bad lighting and worse timing. A parking lot. A crude comment. Four men. And one voice that cut the night open: "She told you to move." It should've ended there. A nod. A thank you. A walk away. But Orm didn't walk. And Lingling didn't let her. Now there's a thread pulled too tight between them. Sheets. Bruises. Breathless silence. A thousand things said with hands instead of mouths. Lingling touches Orm like she's already hers. Orm lets her in like she doesn't know how to say no. It's not love. Not yet. But something hangs in the space they keep trying not to name. It lingers on the tip of the tongue, right where pretending and staying start to blur. --- --- G!P Lingling

Orm Sethratanapong has lost everything-her job, her home, and almost her will to fight. With nowhere else to turn, she takes her asthmatic little brother Atu on a desperate road trip away from Bangkok, ending up at an old, fading beach resort deep in the southern coast of Thailand. There, she meets Ling Ling Kwong-an enigmatic, brooding resort owner known for her cold detachment and guarded heart. Half-Thai, half-Hong Kong, Ling is haunted by a tragic past and rules her world with ruthless control. But something about Orm-stubborn, proud, and aching with hidden wounds-disarms her in ways no one ever has. What begins as irritation and distrust slowly burns into an undeniable attraction. But love isn't simple-especially when both women are carrying so much pain. And when walls come down, so do inhibitions.

Ling finally tried committing to something other than her career, the gym routine and a rotating roster of flings. She proposed. Her girlfriend laughed. Apparently, Ling's "I'm not a relationship person" reputation is harder to shake than she thought. Especially when her *actual* longest relationship is with her best friend, Orm, and the tiny child who bosses her around and claims "she's ours." Lingling, a hardworking airport lounge cleaner, is too busy juggling two jobs to care about luxuries-or love. Orm, a wealthy business heir and notorious heartbreaker, has never had to work for anything, least of all affection. Their worlds collide when Orm forgets her phone in the lounge, and Lingling picks it up only to receive a call from the owner herself. Instead of retrieving it immediately, Orm playfully insists Lingling hold onto it until she returns. Annoyed but intrigued, Lingling agrees, unaware that this small favor is about to throw her life into chaos and maybe, just maybe, change everything.

Three years. That's how long Lingling Kwong has waited for a man who walked out of her life without a word - leaving her alone to raise their daughter, Sirilak. Calm, graceful, and fiercely devoted to her little girl, Ling has long buried her heart under routine and restraint, convinced that love is no longer meant for her. Enter Orm Kornnaphat - a wildly attractive, sports teacher with honey-amber eyes, a crooked smirk, and a soft spot for a certain clingy six-year-old in her class. Orm never cared for commitments... until Sirilak latched onto her like a koala, and her reserved mother waltzed into her life with dark eyes and a body made of temptation. What begins with innocent schoolyard encounters and stolen glances spirals into something neither of them expected - a slow, burning connection tangled in unspoken fears, inconvenient timing, and a desire too strong to ignore. Orm wants her. All of her. Ling is terrified to want back. But love, like children, doesn't wait for perfect timing.
