Y/n has a secret they've been hiding from everyone. Well, it's not really a secret but more of a lie they tell everyone. "My parents are on a business trip," they say. This lie, though not completely untrue, haunts them. The only ones who know the truth are Y/n, Ukai Two (their boss), and well . . . Their parents. Their childhood best friend, Kageyama, wants to know what's really going on with them. They mean a lot to him, and he just wants to understand them. As their relationship grows, so does this lie. More people get involved and slowly uncover the truths behind Y/n's past. It's not until Y/n's breaking point for them to finally come clean. Were the lies worth it? Who knows. Who honestly knows. A/n: SPOILERS FOR SEASONS 1-3! MILD TIME-SKIP SPOILERS IN THE EPILOGUE! I did not read the manga. In this, I had his mother in it and I aged down his sister to be younger. I also used they/ them pronouns in this fanfic to be as inclusive as possible. Thank you for reading! WARNINGS: abuse, neglect, alcohol use, swearing, some spice (nothing explicit)
