This story takes place after Emily and Sue rekindle their romantic affair in 2x10. Rated M for later chapters. ........ Emily and Sue have been in love for quite some time. After Sue and Austin get married, their relationship took a halt for a long time. What happens when they can't resist temptation any longer and act on their emotions?

Emily has been living in Boston over the past four years finishing up college and starting her career at the Boston Globe HQ writing and editing for the paper. Sue has been in NY, but the girls have lost contact over the years and haven't spoken for quite some time. They were best friends growing up and Emily always had Sue lingering in the back of her mind. She wondered where she was... what she's been up to... how she has been. Will their paths cross again? When they do--what will happen?

Authors note: I recently just watched and finished the first season of Dickinson and have fallen in love with the concept, story and characters. Emily gets Sue a job at her workplace, and the girls already strong bond of a relationship begins to take a whole other direction than it ever has before. Sue has been with her boyfriend, James, for a few years now and recently got engaged. As the girls relationship begins to evolve, Emily finds herself gravitating toward Sue--getting jealous of James and thinking about Sue in ways she never really did before.

A forbidden love of Emily Dickinson and Sue Gilbert at the 80s takes place again as they met again at their afterlife as strangers with an untold memories and forsaken love.
