Persephone dances through the meadow, her unkempt curls streaming out behind her like a russet waterfall; her green eyes alight with the fire of youth. She throws back her head and sings a prayer, her voice surpassing the calls of songbirds and the gentle gurgle of the stream. When she laughs, the landscape rejoices, basking itself in her bliss. She never frowns, but if she did, trees would instantly wither, the stream would halt its happy laughter, and the birds would cease their chorus. She is the very heart and soul of the earth. Her smile is the summer heat, her hair is the autumn leaves; her breath is the dawn of spring. But Winter is coming, biding its time to entice and corrupt. Hades is watching.

As the immortal king of the Underworld, Hades is accustomed to a life of longing and loneliness. A man of his power and majesty should have no interest in silly, innocent things - and yet the woman who haunts his mind's darkest desires is Persephone, the Earth-bound daughter of the strange and jealous Goddess of Fertility. Where Hades is dark and cruel, Persephone is bright and sweet. Having lived her young life under her mother's watchful eye on Earth and far from the adulterous corruptions of Olympus, Persephone is inexperienced and easily frightened. Especially when the god of death steals her away from the only home she's ever known and asks her to become his bride. Seduced, deceived and trapped in the Underworld, Persephone resists her growing fondness and attraction for the tortured soul that is her captor and Husband-to-be. Even when Hades tries to entice her into matrimony with with romance and samples of a life together rich with passion and lust, she resists in the hopes that her mother will come and return her to her simpler life on Earth. But as a darker storm than she ever imagined brews on the horizon and Hades grows increasingly heartbroken, a choice must soon be made by Persephone – lest she truly lose everything she's come to love. --- This is an UNEDITED excerpt from book one of an erotic romance short story series. HORROR / ROMANCE (Soft Erotica Horror) - [Rated R] - A tale of a stalkers obsession. Hunter was a serial killer, and completely psychotic. He grew up in a mental health correctional facility for the criminally insane for killing his family at nine years old. Hunter was also diagnosed with CIPA, or Congenital Insensitivity to Pain at a young age. Because of this he couldn't feel pain or pleasure which led to a hatred for women, and an addiction to watching others suffer. Until he met Raven. He became obsessed with the woman who stayed up late every night reading books about murder, drinking coffee at all hours of the day. He found himself following her, watching her every move. Problem was, she never paid any attention to him. Raven was always focused on Jackson, her boyfriend. When Hunter decides to kill Jackson in front of Raven then steal her away, her world gets turned upside down. Instead of Raven falling in love with Hunter like he'd planned, she begins falling in evil. NOTE: This is the one and only romance I will ever write. 1st Draft. No editing or revisions done at this time.
