Naruto's fiancée and his best friend were both killed in a sneak attack from Orochimaru after four years of peace. Not knowing how to go on yet not wanting to die, he was confronted by Kurama and Kura, the two halves of the nine tails that had been sealed/resealed into him during/after the fourth great shinobi war, as well as the Sage of the Six Paths. Given the option to travel back in time to change the past and save his friends before they die, Naruto goes back to when he was five, determined to save all his precious people. This is my first fanfiction I've actually written, although I've helped @AshtheAmazingMerlin out plenty of times with most of her fanfictions, as well as read countless others written by a variety of other authors. Minato Namikaze wakes up six years after the devastating Kyuubi attack, alone in an overgrown clearing with not a scratch on him. Disoriented and confused, he does exactly what any father would do in this situation. He fights through the pain, gets up, and goes to find his son. He trudges through the pounding in his head and forces himself to move-- to go and find him, because that masked man was still out there, and Minato is willing to do anything to protect his little ball of sunshine. Needless to say, the blonde kage wasn't expecting so much time to have passed. Nor is he very impressed with the way the village has been treating his son all these years.
