"Long ago, when the world believed dragons were only myth. The world was ruled by humans, in that world it was human kill everything. All that changed when the sky opened and out came creatures that would burn the world to ash. Millions of lives lost in a matter of one year, the human army tried to kill them but no missile could breach the armored skin on the dragons body. Soon the whole human race would be gone, but that didn't happen. Everything changed when a man appeared. He was just a man they all thought until they witnessed him controlling and even riding a dragon with scales as black as the night sky. Once he came, the killings and number of wild dragons dropped, he had tamed them all. He came to be called Kahlo in our language or to the humans, he was the Dragon King. With Kahlo riding a dragon, he showed only the loyal ones how to do the same. That is how the Riders were born." The man stopped talking as he looked at the two faces of his children. "I think it be for bed soon my children." "Oh come now father, please finish the story," a little boy with white hair begged. "Yes father please," a young girl with black hair begged as well. "Alright, but it be bed right after or your mother would have my head." They both giggled and waited for their father to continue the story. "Peace flowed over the world, he put in place, his own form of rule. Each country would be ruled by a single Rider and their clans. Each of the world had dragons and their riders ruling the country. That is how peace remained in this world but something came to destroy our peace." The children gasped making the father smile. "Now to bed you two go." "Ah but father." They both whined but he covered them with the blanket. "No buts, to bed. I'll see you both in the morning." He kissed their heads making them smile. "Goodnight father." They both said as he closed the door.

SAMPLE OF PUBLISHED BOOK THAT WAS FIRST WRITTEN ON WATTPAD. Fletcher was nothing more than a humble blacksmith's apprentice, when a chance encounter leads to the discovery that he has the ability to summon demons from another world. Chased from his village for a crime he did not commit, he must travel with his demon to the Vocans Academy, where the gifted are trained in the art of summoning. The academy will put Fletcher through a gauntlet of gruelling lessons, training him as a battlemage to fight in the Hominum Empire's war against the savage orcs. Rubbing shoulders with the children of the most powerful nobles in the land, Fletcher must tread carefully. The power hungry Forsyth twins lurk in the shadows, plotting to further their family's interests. Then there is Sylva, an elf who will do anything she can to forge an alliance between her people and Hominum, even if it means betraying her friends. Othello is the first ever dwarf at the academy, and his people have long been oppressed by Hominum's rulers, which provokes tension amongst those he studies alongside. Fletcher will find himself caught in the middle of powerful forces, with nothing but his demon Ignatius to help him. As the pieces on the board manoeuvre for supremacy, Fletcher must decide where his loyalties lie. The fate of an empire is in his hands ... Did you know that the Wattpad version of Summoner: The Novice is just a large sample of the first draft? The professionally published version is longer and 100% completed, with more demons, more lessons and more action! You can buy it now in all good bookstores and online, including Barnes and Noble, Waterstones, Amazon, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Kobo and Nook. For years, dragonkind and humankind had been at war, alternating between short-lived truces and all out warfare. In this age, however, humankind had subdued the proud dragonkind and turned them into slaves. Brands seared into their arms with the mark of a weeping dragon; the symbol of their defeat. Darin vehemently hated the mistreatment of the dragonkind, and when a branded runaway boy crossed his path, he made him his apprentice to protect him. Something had to be done. But in a strange turn of events, Darin found himself the leader of a peculiar band of travelers: His new apprentice, a brooding warrior, and an elven healer. Although he rarely traveled with others, he began to enjoy it as a long-term arrangement as days turned into weeks. Yet Amaredeia was still healing its war-ravaged wounds, and the cries of rebellion and anguish rose again. Could he really continue denying the calls of his apprentice's people?
