With his pride and her prejudice, what could possibly go wrong? When the arrogant Blake Hansen steals Addie Preston's promotion at the library, he pretty much rubs her nose in it. But Addie, who dreams of being a full-fledged librarian, decides to stick it out. She loves surrounding herself with books and keeping her father's memory alive in the building where they spent so much time together. Soon, Addie learns that her beloved library will be torn down to make room for a larger facility, and she has to make a choice. Fight, or let go? To complicate things, she finds herself attracted to Blake, who is engaged to someone else. Will Blake and Addie ever resolve their differences? This is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice, with hints of the other Jane Austen books as well.

*In major construction. Do not read unless you do not want to read the ending for a very long time until I get things figured out. Thanks!* I was just a hacker. Your average, seventeen-year-old, very sarcastic hacker. Well, average if you thought average meant living with your fried chicken obsessed uncle after your ex-secret agent parents mysteriously disappeared off the face of the Earth. Until that day. A simple business card from an odd boy claiming he needed a hacker for something of the utmost importance. Now? I’m working with the son of the director of the FBI to figure out who wants his father—and possibly us—dead. Not to mention not getting caught and totally not falling for him all while still trying to figure out where my parents are. As I said, nothing good could come of this.

Falling in love was not to be expected and neither was getting hurt along the way, but life had a funny way of working. [Not the funny ha-ha kind of way.] Every single day, all that was Luke invaded my entire being over and over again: his eyes seemed to bore into mine; his smile held my heart and refused to let go; his hair seemed to taunt my hands into tousling it and playing with it; his hands were soft and smooth; his embrace was warm and full of the-four-letter-word. His entire existence completed me. Just him. My heart not only skips a beat like in those cliched stories, but it also cracks into minuscule pieces; I tried putting my heart back together, but it seems I can't because I'll just end up bleeding love all over again. Neither can I give my heart to someone else when it's being held captive by Luke. I just wished he was there to catch me when I fell for him. Unrequitted. That's most probably the only way I can describe this love I have for Luke. One-Sided Love. [Edited By: mizeroangel]
