The brief encounter sparks a flame that neither of them realizes will become a roaring fire. Their senses capture something from one another that they won't soon forget. She looks up at him warily and can't take her eyes off his smiling face. Those dimples must have gotten plenty of women into his bed. He stares at her knowing that she just realized who he is and his smile widens as her faces turns pink under his perusal. When the attorney speaks and says their names and why they are seated directly in front of him they both realize something very big is about to change their lives forever.

That moment of jealousy, the sudden decision to take her hand and drag her away from that party and that intrusive man, gave a completely unexpected course to my life and hers. I am Can Divit, a restless, possessive and impulsive albatross, who perhaps at that moment, when he dragged her away by the hand, had already chosen his life partner without yet knowing it.

A story about what Can and Sanem go through after he leaves the hospital. But, it will not take them a year to find each other again. The mistakes and misgivings of both from that night will finally bring them back together, but, they will have to work through a lot to trust each other again. This was the one part of the storyline of EK that has stayed with me, the brokeness of both Can and Sanem, I wish the writers had taken the story in a different direction or at least had them back together soon.
