***Featured in YA SCI-FI & FANTASY, SECRET TREASURES and WATTPAD UNDISCOVERED STORIES 2019 *** "The truth can be weathered, eroded; it's every shade of grey that lives in the mist; it's sunrise and sunset and everything in between. . ." Kass is a goat-farmer who dreams of escaping his hopeless village. Sammi is an outcast, determined to save her sister who is slowly dying from the toxin-sickness. And Rai is a privileged drone-racer who works hard, parties hard, and feels. . . nothing. One cracks the earth. One weaves the wind. One dances with the waves. They have never met - but together, they are The Elementalists: weapons created by the resistance to overthrow the dictatorship of their toxic world. Life-changing events rip the trio from their homes, from their lives, and the resistance sends them on a perilous quest: to destroy three mysterious 'capsules' that hold the dictatorship together. But in the face of so many lies, twists and betrayals, Kass, Sammi and Rai - the most dangerous weapons on Tellus - must make tough choices. About who to save. . . And who to destroy.

*THE UNEDITED VERSION* Beware of typos, errors, and general mistakes. This is a very, very rough draft. "I live in a place called Compound 4. We are one of ten different compounds placed at strategic locations around the US. It's been thirteen years since the virus overtook humanity, turning about ninety percent of us into zombies. I'm not sure how it started exactly; that's classified information. I do know that in order to save what was left of the human race, the president at the time took a bunch of really smart people and kids and relocated them into new 'protected' cities. My father was one of those really smart people. I was only five at the time, but I knew what was happening." Within the walls of the compound, Jay makes stupid mistakes, mistakes even she doesn't understand, putting everyone inside at risk. All because she can't shoot someone. All because she misses the wind in her hair, the flowers on the hillsides, the sound of crickets at night. All because she's different, the only person untouchable by the Virus. When the mistakes begin to duplicate, and a girl shows up who knows her name, everything begins to change in Compound 4. Highest rank in Science Fiction: #9

Jamie is visiting New York City for the first time, and there is something in the air. He hears it in the chorus of humanity and traffic. He smells it in the mingling scents of street vendors, restaurants, and rubbish bins. He can almost feel the excitement. The hope. The desperation. But he senses something else in the air, too. And he is sure it wants to kill him.

Dr. Elizabeth Hunter thought her life as second year resident could not get anymore frantic than her ER rotation. Crashing heart rates, bottoming out blood pressures, and hysterical patients were something that she could handle. She'd been trained for it after all. But when a patient came into the ER with an unknown disease that Elizabeth has no idea how to treat, she found herself thrown into chaos as the newfound illness plagues the US. After a few close calls, Elizabeth joined ranks with Sergeant Luke Falls who lead her to a military base. Elizabeth tried her best to navigate the unknown in her post-apocalyptic reality, fighting off infected while trying to treat them as patients. In conjunction with Luke and her new comrades, she discovered some particularly troubling information of the etiology of the disease and must make crucial decisions with the lives of those she cares for most hanging in the balance. --- "This is a bad idea," he warned as I started down the hall. "You know, usually I'm the one saying that," I said with a smirk. "If your crazy-ass ideas are the voice of reason, I can't believe you and your friends have lasted this long." He shook his head. "Someone needs to talk some sense into you guys." "I don't need sense. Just luck." The threshold to the lobby loomed ahead. With one last look over my shoulder, I blew a kiss in his direction. "Wish it for me."
