Now tied between her emotions and her home, she tries to keep her friends safe, even as strange feelings swarm beneath. ------------------------------- Book Two: The Flames of Hope The Othermind has taken Pantala. Blue and Swordtail have become the propterty of Queen Wasp. Queen Sequoia, Belladonna, Nettle, and countless other Leafwings have been infected with the Breath of evil. Hawthorn had lied. A fellowship of twelve dragons has been chosen to return to the other continent and uncover the truth, to go where no dragon has ever gone before: under the earth, into the caves and taverns of Pantala. They must find the Aybss, a mysterious chasm that might be the key to defeating the Othermind and rescuing their friends. Little do they expect it, but when they land, they are intercepted by Hivewings. Moonwatcher is captured, along with Mandrake and a third of the team. Sundew and Lynx are forced to leave the others, in order to save them. Leaving Holly in charge. Now pushed into the role of leader, Holly must lead the remaining members of the fellowship into the unknown to reveal the secrets of the mind control . . . or die trying.
