You've always had an interest in androids ever since you were a child. The very thought that technology could create an intelligent life-form that looked just like a human always fascinated you. You quickly became a high ranking student, at one of the top universities for Android studies. To further your training, you were sent for work experience at Detroit City Police Department, and paired up with Lieutenant Anderson and an android named Connor. As you continue to work alongside Hank and Connor, you soon begin to learn things about androids you never noticed before. You also realize that you are finding yourself falling in love with the one person you are not supposed to fall in love with. 'Purple Hearts' puts a unique spin on the events of Detroit Become Human, showing the story of what is behind the scenes, the true feelings of androids, and the lives they struggle to barely survive on the streets. Throughout the story, you slowly begin to see the world in a different light, and through that, you also learn what it means to become human. Who can you really trust when the humans seem more evil than the androids do? The lines blur between the good and the bad; the human, and the android. --- Genres of drama, action, and romance. It follows the direction of the main plot of Detroit Become Human, but I have added various sub plot lines and characters unique to this fanfiction. There is foul language in this story. This is a work of fanfiction based off the game Detroit: Become Human. The characters in the story are owned by David Cage and the creators of Detroit: Become Human. (Y/N) is a detective for the Detroit Police Department. She had been partnered with Lt Hank Anderson for a few years now and she considers him as a father figure. Soon, the duo then suddenly become a trio when Cyberlife sends an android, Connor, to help the two with cases about deviants. As time passes, (y/n) begins to fall for Connor but she knows that since he is an android; he would never reciprocate those feelings back to her. Unbeknownst to her, Connor does start to feel something everytime he is around her but he doesn't understand it. As the rise of deviants grows, Connor and (y/n) must decide what side they serve....side with the deviants to free the androids and let them have equal rights or side with humans and take down all deviants.

He dismissed you while returning to the file he was reviewing. You showed yourself out of the office and to your desk. There you saw Hank gritting his teeth as the Android was talking. As you got closer you heard the very voice from who you were suspecting it to belong to. "(Y/n), this is-" The Android cut Hank off before he could finish. "My name is Connor. I'm the Android sent by Cyberlife here to assist you in any way I can." The Android that went by the name Connor greeted. "I believe we already met." Ps: This is another female reader... Sorry T_T
