Sonic spotted Shadow outside of the village one day. Curious, he decided to follow him to see what is up with the dark hedgehog. After finding out the reason why Shadow likes being alone in that one particular cave, he decided to stick around and company him. It makes Sonic realize that Shadow isn't really that evil and it also makes him grow closer to the dark hedgehog. SFW book.

Once the cat was done cleaning up, he looked to the woman for what to do. "Mrs. Aleena, I have finished." He said, piling all the disposable items he collected into the trash. "Good," Aleena said, wiping away what little sweat had formed on her forehead. "Now, put your hands up." Sonic started to cough up petals. Turns out he got a disease called Hanahaki disease, which means a specific flower starts to grow in the patient's chest, slowly suffocating them. This is caused by the patient dealing with unrequited love, it happens rarely and only with true love.. Will he be able to find a solution before the time runs out or will he suffocate to death.. :;PLEASE READ:; I think my book is the only one that actually thinks deeply into the hanahaki disease. It's not just about dying 'cause of love. It's a brutal torture day by day. It intervenes into the patient's life, messing up their routines and themselves both physically and mentally, which is why it will deal with the topic depression. I hope my book will give this bad feeling through and making it able to understand the topic's darkside and how brutal hanahaki can really be. If you think about it, it's like being forced to drown from time to time.
