And of course the threat of a group of rebels who seek to end the established order. Although the plot revolves around the relationship(a lot of smut and love/hate) with Thrawn, there is much more. The force is represented on both the light and dark sides. Padawans, sith acolytes, unlimited power, battles and death. Howzer stole our hearts when he appeared in TBB S1 E12, and I wanted to write a bit of a backstory for him. During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech.
