50 Years after Inheritance, Eragon has found a suitable training ground for the new riders. It seems the eggs preferred to hatch for children, as none of the new riders were born older than 20 years when the egg hatched for them. Both Eragon and Arya, have been destroying their emotional health over the years, ignoring their blind instincts to see each other again, hoping that over time their feelings would pass. This relentless effort of keeping their emotions for each other out of the way of their duties making the relationships they have built with their companions take a slight dip. Only their closeness with their respective dragons remained as close as ever, if not more.
