Tranquility Followed Her

Aaliyah Stanford had no interest in connections with others. She had her team who worked for her and that's all she'd ever needed. That is until she coincidentally ran into a new variation of connection.
"Connections cause problems. Problems that I don't need right now."
Was that how she saw the gentle Rose-Arella Thomas? The only girl she could stand to be around for more than one night as a one off. What was the difference?
This girl never stopped talking. Something that Aaliyah should've despised, however, for some particular reason, she can't get her out of her mind.

"You can't stand me, can you?" I questioned Aaliyah with a playful yet menacing grin as I leaned in with curiosity.
Aaliyah stared daggers into me, but softened her gaze as soon as our eyes met.
For a slight moment, her lips turned upwards as though she was trying not to smirk. Ooo..
"Your fries are gonna get cold." Aaliyah coldly stated before landing her eyes back to her laptop. No fair. I never get to see what she's doing on that laptop of hers, but I can tell its super secret agent work. I slightly giggle to myself, reminding myself to hide that laptop one day.
