***Modern Day AU*** Social Anxiety and High School don't mix. Will Byers just has to push through one more year, but a certain boy makes it so much harder, and Will can't help but wonder if he's been going about this all wrong. Maybe Mike Wheeler is just the person he needed to meet. And Maybe Will means more to Mike than he thought. Maybe that makes this terrifying. And maybe, just maybe, they both kind of love it.

This is right after Eleven moves in with the Byers after the tragic death of Jim hopper. This story is in Will's Pov of life whilst living with his new sibling, going to school with her, and maintaining maybe a few other friends besides his sister. *Warning. Mike Wheeler misses a particular friend badly, and struggles with his sexuality. When the Byers come to visit, he finally takes his chance.

after moving to maine, fulfilling bob's request, will and el have bonded greatly. they're basically inseparable. will's helping her try to get her powers back, and teaching el some more about the world around her. when blood starts trickling down someone else's nose as well, and the two are being thrown back to hawkins to visit during spring break, some new trouble arises. --- "they're in a bit of a sticky situation there." lucas said, not-so-subtlety pointing at the boys in front of him. max rolled her eyes and playfully shoved him. "i think it's sweet!" she argued back, her words as fiery as her hair. lucas shrugged.
