A trial is when a young mermaid is sent up to the Human World to discover what it's like up there and decide where they want to live- on Earth or under it in the water. Arianna is sure that she will choose the water, but as she slowly falls in love with the one she's meant to be with over the four months she's allowed up in the Human World, she becomes less and less sure. When the time comes, will she choose her Warrior-Princess life, or the life her Love can offer her?
