It's a dangerous way to live when the ones smiling beside you are often the first to twist the knife. After all, the underworld doesn't reward kind hearts. It devours them. π’πˆπ‹π€π’ π‹π”πƒπŽπ•πˆπ‚πŽ doesn't believe in good people. Feared across the crime world for his ruthlessness, he's spent years building a reputation no one dares question. Violence has always come easier than trust, and mercy has never earned anyone a throne. Years ago, a chance meeting with a girl whose smile didn't belong in his world should've been forgettable. Instead, she became the one face he couldn't ignore. He was taught everyone had a weakness. He never imagined she'd become his. She was dealt her fair share of bad cards, more than anyone so young should have to face. A cynical girl riddled with the remnants of her past, a shattered sort of soul. She concealed like it was second nature; her instinct being to suppress. She'd offer you a cigarette with a shrug while you were crying because she never was too great with affection. She didn't smile so often but when she did and it was directed at you, you'd never feel such satisfaction. I was told Aria preferred to be alone, isolated; clouding her mind with inhales of her cigarette and drowning it in alcohol. Until she was dealt her good card, out of the pack of bad. They had a love beautiful enough to last a lifetime, the type directors desire to capture and authors aspire to write. Two souls, shattered by the cruelty of the world time and time again with flames that rekindled each others. They were each other's oxygen. They breathed life back into each other, those two insomniacs. <3

''Kill me, Elijah. Do it!'' I scream, tears flooding down my cheeks as I get ready for what's next. He gazes at me, and for the first time, I realize, there's tears welling up in his eyes, too; like he's in utter pain. His gun is aimed at my forehead, and the tears continue to fall down like a river. "No, are you crazy?"His voice is razor-edged. But he holds himself in a fine, defined way. Almost deadly. But his eyes are icy clear with hidden intents. "I fucking hate you, kill me now, I don't ever wanna see you again!'' I seethe through gritted teeth; at the top of my lungs. I realize he won't be able to pull the trigger if I don't say anything. But I'm mistaken, his smoldered face with resentment leaves and he plasters an anguished face on. No...I'm sorry I didn't mean that. If only I could tell him that. ''I can't kill you, Eleodore, please stop. Don't say things you don't mean," he says in a whisper, with his husky yet gentle voice. ''Why not?'' I demand, not understanding his sudden move of resistance, his gaze watching me up and down while he surrenders and withdraws his gun. He takes a step closer and I can feel his hot breath fanning down my face. I almost flinch, but as I close my eyes, I feel his soft lips plant on my forehead. And then he finally utters a single syllable. ''Because I love you.''

*CONTAINS MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT* Have you ever met someone that made falling feel like flying? ~β€’~~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~ Preview: "Do you think, if you jumped from this roof - it'd feel like falling or flying?" I ask, keeping up with our theme of asking random useless questions that we've been going back and forth with for the past half hour. I stare at my feet swinging back and forth, looking down at the alleyway behind the building; pondering the question over in my head that I often wonder too much about. I glance over to Harry when he doesn't answer straight away and he's watching me with a look I can't read. "Unless you were a bird or could fly, it would just feel like falling. Because you'd know you were going to hit the ground" he decides to answer, staring at me like he's somewhat bothered that I asked him that. I look back down at the ground, and shrug my shoulders, "I think if you didn't care about hitting the ground it could feel like flying for a few seconds." ~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~β€’~ STARTED 11TH MARCH 2019 - ONGOING
