Being a king is hard. Raising a son is hard. Living with eternal grief is hard. King Thranduil is just trying to keep his kingdom running and his son safe when an elf is found with orcs at the border of Greenwood. Who could this mysterious elf truly be? But then the elf he rescued in the forest grows closer to Legolas, and Thranduil can not help but enjoy her company as well. Darkness descends over the forest, all because of this one elf. When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart. 12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement. That being said, this story will change starting today probably and if you're in the middle of it, hopefully I don't confuse details or timelines for you. The wizard replied, shifting as a small breeze came through the forest. "And I am not trained in the art of raising children." The two men momentarily turned their gazes back to young Kyja, who was too occupied following the winged insect. Compassion soon struck the wizard's heart. "Yet... there is someone that could care for her. He is an odd fellow, relates more to animals than any other living creature- but he is genuinely kind, and will be able to assist Kyja in the following years. Radagast the Brown is his name." And so, the journey begins. Far into adulthood, Kyja is introduced to a completely new world when Gandalf proposes an offer- to join a band of dwarves to help them save their homeland.
