These are the events that took place after the events of This Oughta Be Fun, the previous book. This involves the reader as they somehow miraculously survive a bullet wound to the head, and now they have to recover the lost memories of their attacker, and venture back into the world of Splatoon in order to get justice for Rider. This involves the reader, but it's angst and pychological horror. Will you remember Goggles and escape this madness once and for all, or will you fall victim to hivemind of Nintendo?

During Splatoon 1 Inklings were known as cold cruel and selfish creatures, at least that is what the common Octarians thought. However when a lost Octoling soldier accidentally wanders into Inkopolis things are different from what she was told, now the question is: how will she get home?

DJ Octavio may be gone, but the Octarian army still carries his hate for the Inklings. Victoria is an Octoling in that army, but her recent trip to Inkopolis has made her rethink her view on the Inklings. Agent 8 cannot remember much about her past, but she recalls one Octoling, someone she used to call friend. Having stopped the rogue AI Tartar, completed every test, recovered every Mem Cake and found a new life in Inkopolis, Agent 8 feels like she has no purpose left other than find this long lost friend and uncover her past. But what she uncovers might not exactly be pleasant...

Not everyone moves to Inkopolis on their own accord, not everyone in Inkopolis is as kind as they may seem. What should one Octoling do, when she is taken and thrust into a side of Inkopolis where anger from the great turf war has yet to die down? What should she do when she loses everything and cannot go home? What should she do when it feels like she's alone, against the world?
