Little did she know that the children will change her life in way she never imagined, not to mention the constant companionship between the kids and her mother's next door neighbor Christina. Christina loves hard, and Kaliya is hard to love. What happens when metals grinds against metal? Sparks fly. And sparks will fly between the two. But will it be fireworks or fireballs?

As part of the English Language and Literature course in IB1, my class and I read the book 'I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings', by Maya Angelou. For the written task that we did afterwards, I chose to add a chapter to the book. The chapter that I added was after the last chapter in the book, which was chapter 36. As Maya Angelou's book did not have specific titles for each chapter, I left my work with the title 'Chapter 37'. In order to to maintain a connection between my writing and that of Maya Angelou's, I tried my best to follow her writing style. This means the language that I have used, my diction as well as the paragraph and sentence structures, are based on how they are in the book. For those who have already read the book, this might be an interesting addition. For those who haven't, consider this a spoiler :p Please do read and let me know what you think! :)
