Unexpected events leave Peter to live with the Avengers. A dream come true, right? Well not when there's someone after him and everyone he loves. Spider-Man can't always win. When he's left so injured, he needs a little help from the avengers he lives with, but one of them needs him too.

The news was on, an alien was attacking New York (again), and Peter was on the sidelines. Now, this in itself is pretty crappy, but after watching your Dad get ripped from the sky on live TV, the young Stark is going to have much more than just a broken leg to deal with. Much, much more.

Peter had a rough childhood, he ended up more broken than he believes, and more broken than others can see. He tried to explain it once and gets committed because they thought he was at risk. He is alone just like he always has been when he comes across a job, a job which changes his life in a lot of ways. Tony Stark had lost his son when he was only 2 years old, stolen away in broad daylight. Years later, his path crosses with that of a particular vigilante. After a few shitty years, losing his parents and then losing his Uncle, things are finally looking up. Sure he lives in a crappy little apartment with his Aunt but he might have just found his mission in life. ------ This is an AU story obvious by some of the tags. I'm starting out a few weeks after Age of Ultron took place. Civil War will be a thing. Other than that I'm not too concerned about sticking to every canon detail and storyline.
