Yato hastah tato drishṭih| Yato drishṭih tato manah| Yato manah tato bāvah| Yato bāvah tato rasah| "Where the hands go, the eyes follow; Where the eyes go, the mind follows; Where the mind is, there goes the expression; Where the expression is, there goes the emotion." *** If a practical mind had an embodiment, it would be Chandni. Love just wasn't her cup of tea. Or coffee. Or any other beverage. Not even when she's an experienced, expressive Bharatanatyam dancer. And all she could do was entrust her parents with her love life. What they do is find her an intriguing guy with mismatched eyes who wants nothing to do with it. He assumes he'd be ruining a girl's life for the sake of an arranged marriage. And so, she helps him escape. In a twist of fate, his attempt to repay her kindness only complicates things further. As their worlds collide in a series of chaotic and heartwarming encounters, will their initial clash drive them apart, or spark a love neither of them saw coming? Will Chandni's pragmatic heart ever find love? *** Aakash turned towards Chandni, "I'm just helping yo-" "I never asked you!" Chandni shoots back in anger at what he had done. *** A/N: More than being a good book for the reader, the best outcome I could expect would be giving a wholesome Bharatanatyam experience. *** Standalone. Mature language. NOTE: There might be certain scenarios that readers might find controversial. *** 04 / 03 / 2023 : Featured in Wattpad Outreach's "💎 Featured Stories - Best of Outreach Hidden Gems". 28 / 10 / 2025 : Featured in Chicklit's "Diverse Lit". 28 / 10 / 2025 : Featured in Chicklit's "Rom-Com". 28 / 10 / 2025 : Featured in Chicklit's "Ambassador's Picks".

Once upon a time, men and women entered marriage with very clear policies regarding the division of labour: he would go to work and "bring home the bacon," while she would stay at home and cook, clean, and raise the children. Things aren't the same as they used to be. Modern Indian romance, intimacies, and marriages are far more complicated than assessments and reality television shows portray. In India, arranged marriages are an unique and complex process. People seek a 'soulmate' with whom they can spend the rest of their lives, but they also have specific expectations of the potential bride or groom. There is a strong narrative about finding love, compatibility, and connection, but what stands out is a real intent to replicate class identities beneath all of this. In a country that depends on a spending population, "middle class" is a necessary armour, a shared language, a value system, and, more importantly, a way of life. Life may be unjust, irritating, and disarmingly disappointing on most days. Being middle class, on the other hand, creates character in a culture obsessed with the need to be a part of the rat race. Marriage also places the onus of making sacrifices, concessions, and making the marriage work on the couple. This tale illuminates the unseen and underappreciated aspects of an Indian arranged marriage, the life of a middle-class wife and husband and their shared responsibilities as they navigate through life. Immense amount of desi tadka awaiting your way. *I don't own the illustration on the poster.*

COMPLETED ON SCROLLSTACK In the wake of her return to her home country, Sara Rajawat wanted only two things: to help her brother achieve his revenge, and get started on her own. In the span of twenty years, she had very meticulously planned out the five cold blooded murders of the five monsters who had stolen the light of the day from her sister's eyes. It's time, for once, she sleeps peacefully now. But then enters Yuvraaj Singh Chauhan, her ex husband, with a set of his own questions, still wearing their wedding ring. In the six months they were married, he had never glanced at her, let alone speak to her. Except for when they fought, with weightless things and hateful words hurled at each other so loud even the palace walls had shuddered. Their marriage was a disaster, and the only sane decision was to walk out of it. So what makes him think she owes him any explanation? But if she knows one thing about her ex-husband apart from being an uptight and the most unempathetic person to ever walk on the face of the earth, then that he's stubbornly in hate with her. She knows nothing about where his hatred stems from, neither does she care. She never did. He is an insignificant fragment of her past, and she wants him to stay as such. But maybe that's exactly what's keeping him hooked to her. Because Yuvraaj Singh Chauhan, for anyone, is unforgettable.
