I have served under many a queen, seeing all their happiness and their deepest sorrow. I have seen this country change overnight to suit the whims of our mighty king. I, too, have experienced my own joys and my own despair. To live a courtly life is a magical experience. You are at the center of the kingdom and her intrigues and passions. In my younger days, I felt invincible. Never had I considered the terror that my position could fall at any moment. As the years pass, we grow in wisdom. I learned early on to keep my own counsel though I never refused to hear another's secrets. These are my memories of those times, from the burgeoning bloom of beauty to the days my petals began to wilt. It can be difficult reliving your life through a pen and I find myself so caught up in my past. Somedays I feel as I still am sixteen, my mouth bubbling with laughter and my feet tapping in dance.
